I know, some of you guys went through it before and succeed, some not.Would like to hear from both of you to draw some light to my eyes.

Small welsh town, small lake in the park full of silt and eels no tackle shop in town but full of enthusiasm and passion in mind.

Wiktor ,round my way there has been alot of Polish people involved in the fishing club scene,I presume they came over during the war after giving Gerry a good drubbing at Monte Casino, good luck fella anyway and how big are the eels.

One more thing Wiktor ,the locals are not known for there welcoming of newcomers ,but it is nothing personal they hate everybody ,bit of baggage from the Roman era I presume.

I have been here on and off for more then 10 years not having major problems with locals, its a small town and people know each other

I haven't targeted the eels yet, just heard from somebody that when they drain a lot of water in some places he could see them moving in the pond.

I spoken to top guy in environmental agency for N. Wales and he was very kin to help me out.Mainly I need more people to get involved,as for now I have 3 locals+1 other pole, need at least 2 more to roll the ball.

Wonder if on FM is anybody close (or not) to me that want to be a member?

Wiktor, it's quite easy to set up a basic fishing club for social purposes - a few people get together and go fishing (or match fishing ) on a selected water.

The next step up is for the club to rent or buy a fishery. This takes a lot of time and money, especially since it's not easy to find fisheries at the prices that a small club can afford.

Wiktor,

Some fisheries allow small/medium sized clubs to hire an entire lake for a day. That may be away to go to ge started. Then build up from there to getting your own waters.

Nice one!!!!!!!

I will let you know when the ball start rolling.

Stephen;Good idea with hire lake.the only think I will have to have is more numbers....they are growing slowly.I `m going to have to put some adverts in local newspaper and some shops to let people know, or get my missus to strip on the top of town with a big sign about the club, that will bring few people interested into message./forum/smilies/eye_rolling_smiley.gifMaybe not good idea
