To much weed

if i havent got a rake and i roughly know somewhere without weed around it,to make sure my hookbait doesent get coverd in weed if i use a method feeder would a tench still take th bait??

My very first tench came to float fished bread flake......cast and let settle on top of the weed........i could see the white bread and saw it disapear!!

Bread flake is a great over looked tench bait and can be fished to just settle on weed.
