Good morning all.
After retiring to France ten years ago, I have given up golf and returned to my first love (fishing) as it is just too good to miss in my area of S.W.France.
I have yet to check out the lakes but the river tarn is just 15minutes away and offers some great fishing including Silure up to about 70/80 kilos, although I understand that no everyone enjoys fishing for them.
My first three visits there in oct/nov produced one common carp on each occasion up to 12lb but none since!!
I bought a small boat & trailer as it makes the choice of swims that much greater but on my first trip out the 30ft anchor line failed to find the bottom although I was only 2 yards from the bank ... the locals have since told me that the river is 20 metres deep in places ... I still have much to learn!!
