cleaning maggots

If you mean to clean them, no..........but if you sprinkle a teaspoon of flour onto your 'cleaned' maggots,they certainly appear to be much larger.

I keep any maggots left from one trip for the next and was thinking of riddling of the maggots and then adding soem flour to keep from smelling

I'll not use slef raising flour as I don't want them to float:D

I have as a kid, it's not the way forward.
Saw dust to clean them, particularly if their is any hint of moisture. Next, riddle them off and add fresh maize meal to the clean, dry maggots.

If there is the slightest bit of moisture on the maggots flour will stick to them and make a right mess. As said earlier maize meal is best by far.
