Marker floats

I have sometimes seen anglers fishing with their marker floats out in the water during the whole of the session. I can see the benefits of doing this where accuracy is concerned and if your line marker slips or becomes detached, but I was wondering whether it is entirely safe (a hooked fish could cross line the marker float set up). Also can the marker float spook the fish with all that brand cutting throught the swim?

I always reel the marker in then put it out again when needed which is quiet easy if you clip up

they tend to leave them out in France without any real trouble but I dont like taking a chance

Same as cakey. Only really use it when catapulting out freebies otherwise fish with the line clip on the rods and spod rod.
