Can I legally fish the Broads in May if I use a small spinner or worm for trout?

Depends on the local bylaws relevant, try looking up the Broads Authority website or contact EA for advice. Not only do the Broads get patrolled by the EA but also the broads authority. Best I can do melud

But it all gets very complicated. If I was to ring the EA then will the person on the other end really know all the rules and be able to give me the help I need?

If I fish a worm for trout on the Broards and happen to catch a chub or perch could I get busted if an EA bailiff saw me land it?

Matt they would have to prove you were fishing for them. Loads of silly rules in diffrent parts of the country.

Makes the close season a joke. If there is a closesed season it should be for all types of fishing. Or as i say shelf it.
