As I predicted yesterday, it was indeed a gruelling 6 hours at Willows lakes staring at a motionless tip. A very chilly east wind in my face all day. Had 4 bites, 2 skimmers and 2 small roach for 1lb 4oz....TBH everyone struggled and the framing weights were only just into double figures....
17 fished.

Completely bottled it and stayed at home after waking up to a covering of snow but I think it did me good to have a chill out weekend.

River tees Gainford on Saturday after grayling. Conditions perfect, water clear and a good level. Ok it was cold but almost windless with no sunshine.
In the end only six greyling and two trout.
They just do not want to play
A repeat of the last three outings over the past week, I normally would consider 15/20 a average for a winters day. At the moment struggling to catch at all. Either they are not there or have switched off. We have tried every sort of swim from deep/fast, shallow/fast, gentle flow over deepening water to slow and deep.
