Got some bumf from the Environment Agency recently aboutsaving our endangered native white clawed crayfish, and then had a conversation with someone who suggested that the booming population of once-endangered otters might be predating on them.

Anyone know if otters eat crayfish? The Environment Agency seem to be key players in the conservation of both species and I'm curious as to how they deal with this conundrum. I hope they've a programme in placeto educate hungry ottersto concentrate on those nasty american signal crays.........

Don't know about crays but have seen loads of stuff on telly with otters on the Scottish coast eating crabs. Don't expect the otters would mind which they ate.
