on saturday i narrowly avoided serious injury when a two foot x four inch rotten branch severed the end of my pole ,a spare top three to my right, it missed me by about two foot and to rub salt into the wound the splash soaked me and my bait,this was on an old tree lined claypit. from now on i shall allways check for rotton branches above me before fishing a parrot cage swim.
