Old shimano baitrunner advice please

Hi all..i have just purchased a 3000x and a 3500x on ebay

Found very few reviews on them but understand they are rock solid pieces of kit.
I fish mostly day ticket and rivers for carp, tench , bream and barbel
Has anybody owned or used them for a period of time?...really looking forward to getting them on my rods and trying them out.

Depends how old they are and how much use/abuse they've had.

I'm a big Shimano b/runner fan (and user), but older models may not have spare parts available these days (e.g. worm gears) if they go?

Not sure of thier age....perhaps someone can help with the timings im guessing early nineties.
I know Shimano have released loads of baitrunner models, maybe it would be interesting if someone could give a definitive guide to the first Baitrunners on the market?
