Carping on the Rivers severn and avon

Has anyone on here fished either of these two rivers for carp?

I spent last season fishing both and would be interested to hear if anyone else has given them a go and if they had any sucess.

Plenty of big carp at Atcham Alistair. Never tagetted the buggers but taken a few to high doubles when barbel fishing.

Are they located in one specific area or are they pretty much spread out? Do they tend to show themselves as one thing i have noticed on the severn is that the carp very rarley give away there presence by rolling or jumping.

sorry but I know very little about the severn carp. The ones I've had have been by accident. But I havent seen them showing themselves, so your right on that point.

At Atcham there are a couple of very long deep slow stretches where I know carp have come from (as well as bream). But in saying that I took a 16lb+ mirror a few seasons back, in about 2ft of fast, streamy water. Thar REALLY pissed me off I can tell you when right at the net I realised it wasn't a barbel ! ! ! !
