Grass Carp In The West Midlands

Hi Everybody

I wonder if anyone can help me. I've never caught a Grass Carp before and i would like to catch one this season, but the thing is i live in Wolverhampton and wouldn't know where to go to catch any.

Could any point me in the right direction?

(I'm running on a budget so not a too expensive day ticket)

try shatterfordnear kidderminster mate, they are in there and are a sucker for a floating bait at dusk. hope this helps

Not very many venues around here have grass carp Steve.

As Dave said shatterford specialy Eric's lake is the best option although at £10.00 per day the price might put you off.

All is not lost, try Himley Pool in Himley. Its a straight run for you, head towards Stourbridge along the main road and turn off to your left for Himley. The Grass Carp are huge in there and there are plenty of them. I've never tried for them, but have fed them bread off the surface and boy they were big. I would say there were around 15 at least infront of me. Look for where the wind is blowing. I believe they also run a night syndicate on here.
