i have notmade loads of carp rigs butwhen i do its a knotless knot at the bussiness end and a double overhand at theclip end, could you tell me if there is a better knot to useat the clip end any help would be appreciated ty.ps does it matter what type of hooklink you use for the knots.

depends on the material you are tying the rig with though - have a look for dave chiltons article on here....

try the grinner or uni knot as its sometimes called.Ive never had it break althogh it will sometimes slip if its not bedded down correctly.

Also the knotless knot can sometimes weaken the braid where it passes back through the eye,I have recently suffered a couple of breakages/lost fish whilst trying a new hooklink,I will be using a differant knot now, so make sure you check it well.
