Wayne, I bought two deep plastic spools the other day, spooled them up with 10lb krystonite, woke up the next day and one of the spools had exploded!
I've spooled up many times and never had this happen before, I wont be buying plastic spools again, metal from now on.
I got them at Veals Bristol, they've got a link on here for on-line buying, good luck.
