Huh - nobody? I have one Grauvell barbel in 2,5 - but that I use in flood water or when I fish for carp in snags, its the best "fighting" rod I ever held, but I m still looking for nice 1,75 lbs one - doesnt matter what brand.

Barbel are my anathema, they are hard to catch where I live. I rate one for 10 carps.

It looks nice from what I can see. Is barbel fishing popular in the Czech Republic?

Speciemen fishing is pretty much non-existent, with the exceptions of carpers, which are for most part rather rabid bunch. It is also legal to kill and eat certain quantity of fish, so there is too many idiots who plunder waters and kill everything. (Let me tell you they scream loudest that the rivers are empty.)
