Hopefully I will be spending a few hours at Heyford Fishery (Northants) tomorrow.

When I fished there for the first time the a couple of weeks ago I did not bother using a keepnet although they are permitted. I simply kept the fish in the landing net and released them by lowering the net into the water and inverting it.

I am just curious as to whether this is likely to spoil the fishing in any way, especially as the peg that I was fishing was not very wide.

I wouldn't like to think that a returned fish would go an tell its mates that I was there and ruin things for me /forum/smilies/smile_smiley.gif

well after returning fish to the swim , did you in fact catch more fish , if you did then i doubt if they told there mates , if you stopped catching then there is a possability that they did. Roach and chub are spookey fish.
