Ian, you mention changes in coarse fish behaviour - has their been any scientific studies on this?
BTW I once belonged to small syndicate that fished a clear-water lake for trout. It seemed to us our stocked rainbows through C&R became VERY line shy. Anyone using brown maxima had ZERO chance. Also the hook itself had to be well hidden or very small. They certainly were not stupid after a while! But incredibly so when first stocked!
