the next scheduled town council meeting is on Monday30th June 2008.

to the point, there will be a 15 minute public question time prior to the Town council meeting Monday 30th June 2003 , the following councillors are members of the council advisory group on the River Severn Cllrs. Knowles (Chair), Mrs. Davies, Keen, Miss Mace. These councillors will have the most imput and will be the working party upon which a report will be put to the full town council on the 30th.Any factual representation or questions which will have to be about item 6385

Paul Flack, the town clerk, a very decent and informative chap, members of the public will be allowed to ask questions under section 12 or a brief statements- stick to facts and studies, the nafac angling code of conduct may be useful ?! please no emotional pleas as they don't usually cut the mustard.
Also at the start of the meeting 15 minutes will be allowed for members of the public to raise issues - however-formal answers can only be given at the next scheduled monthly meeting, so use section 12.
Most significantly, Paul will accept written submissions from organisations and members of the public, failing that emails will do but letters obviously better. He will make sure that copies are then passed on to members of the council prior to the meeting. Keep these brief and factual as sometimes councillors will only peruse these 15 minutes beforehand.
Paul freely admits that councillors knew nothing about angling so one must presume that members will keep an open mind - who knows maybe anglers could turn the situation to their advantage and become a direct consultee on hopefully the River Severn Advisory Group.
If anglers living locally or nearby can turn up- so much the better-you can bet jan harrigan will have her own supporters preent. Also , usually the local press will have a reporter in attendance and anglers could possibly write and inform local opinion by this means.
