Maybe not Britain's biggest but it still looks one hell of an esox to me. Nasty bloody things...can't stand em personally.

The fish made me do it!
I've been plagued and mashed up by several pike in the Cherwell as well as other rivers; I've often seen the remains of pike chucked on the sides.
Don't think I need to say what I think happened to them, but washed up in a flood, now that's a good un maybe that's why the fish stocks are so low - we are always having floods

Ah, so that's what caused the decline of barbel..... I guess it's only a matter of time before some do-gooder will start an introduction programme of these not-so-little beauties:
