I for one can't wait (but I will)

I'm hoping for a lot less rain this year

I've been wandering my local rivers and drains, looking for predator-looking spots, features and prey fish. Saw loads of prey fish 'scatters' yesterday, but none this afternoon (was very warm - bit early for predators I think). So I'm hopeful. Although, many of the banks are super steep so it'll be quite ungraceful getting near enough the bank...

I also saw a fish that was a few pounds in weight - couldn't tell what it was, because I don't have my polarised clip ons yet! I also saw a large fish in the shallows, accompanied by a huge swirl. If my eyes did not deceive, it was not a coarse fish...

Yup, pretty excited!
