The thing is,Kryston haven't just sat back on their laurels
Over the 20 years they have been going they have continually updated and upgraded their innovative ideas bringing out new and better products all the time
Long may they continue to do so .........

Ed, methinks you need a better agent - I'll take it over for you for 30%

Joking aside, Kryston products have kept their innovation going over a long period of time - credit where it is due indeed.

And they don't have product made in the far east!

Most of their braided materials are made from Spectra (USA) fibres to Kryston's own specifications as are the coatings on them. NOTHING is left to chance! Many of their products are now made in house here in the UK in fact.

(cheque to usual address please, Mr Kryston /forum/smilies/smile_smiley.gif)

I get the inside line on their products (as does Ed and Graham) so I know how good they are and the efforts that are put into their design and specification. The appearance of the new catalogue is down to one thing and one thing only -

NAGGING from his good lady wife!

Cant fault the Kryston product's, All the opposition's products are sourced and made in the far east, enough said. Kryston do all the developing and research, the other's do the inferior copying

When the day of reckoning comes lets hope you are using some reliable hooklink, not an inferior one, because believe me,

You Will Be Sorrrrrrrry!/forum/smilies/surprised_smiley.gif

Wouldnt be supprised if soon you can get some of the other makes in Poundstretcher, because that's about as much as its worth.

Derbyshire: best beer, best cheese, best puddings.
I have no doubt Kryston's products are of the finest quality, indeed I use some of them myself however I would dispute that any product made in the far east is by definition inferior.

Do any of you solely use Kryston products? No ESP, no Drennan, no Fox, no Korum, no Suffix etc...?

Yes Paul , but to get the best from the far east you have to pay more for it, Im pretty sure , almost certain most dont pay top price for what they get.

Also Kryston dont dabble in everything like the other's, they just specialise in thier own field, all the others sell everything they can.

Drennan, Fox, Korda and Suffix braids are all copies, not saying they are shite ,but if you want to take a chance.

Go for it.

I use products from all the above companies, but not my hook link material.

Only if Kryston don't make them.

I just wish Kryston would make more stuff.

Like braid scissors, needles, braid mainline, wire trace material, bait stops, and several thousand other items.

It's just that for the profit that's in it, these items just aren't worth making here. People will just buy the cheaper alternatives.

.

BUT IT'S TIME WE MADE A STAND! When you buy cheap clothes from Indonesia, China or India, British workers are losing jobs. We no longer manufacture anything substantial and despite what politicians tell you, no country in the world can survive without a manufacturing base. Otherwise, it's like trying to make a living by taking in your own washing, IMPOSSIBLE!

Mr Woodhouse Sir, If Kryston made all the other products they would be like all the others.

Jack of all trades, MASTERS of none.

Land of Hope and Glory do-do-do-de-do.

PS. Mr Woodhouse, do you still take in washing?.

Well, Switzerland and Norway seem to have done pretty well for the last hundred years or so. . . . . . .

Ambio, now that's a blast from the past . . . . .
