Really appalling statistics on behalf of the EA... I think as paying anglers we deserve better.
I wonder if the extra expense of carrying out this neglected work (c'mon... budget and resources are bound to be part of the excuse aren't they?) would in fact be self-funding through additional revenue gained from successful prosecutions from polluters, not to mention the deterrent effect.
It will be interesting to read the EA's response, if in fact they provide one.
