Now £2472.80 with a late cheque. A cracking event from a cracking bunch of people, not only those that fished but those who donated goods and those who bid for them.

Now I am officially a diabetic too (and oddly enough I was born in Norwich ! /forum/smilies/confused_smiley.gif) does this mean that this year I get a payout in my favour instead of having to contribute ??????

In passing, before I forget it, an enormous big up (as I believe the youngsters call it) for Okuma customer services aka Jeff at Svendsen Sports in relation to the reel I won in last years auction: 10 bearing Okuma Payback PF30M.

Beautiful beautiful piece of the smoothest reel porn, but I just couldn't get used to the double handle, forever getting snagged up on my line. So I gave Jeff a ring on the offchance.....

24 hours later I'm looking at a beautiful perfect fitting single handle delivered by return of post. AT NO CHARGE ! £Nil. Nada. Bugger all. Nowt. Just good wishes for my chances of catching with it.

Bloody brilliant customer service and relations and a reel I now use more often than not. Even over my (still) beloved Mitchell Quartzes......

Biting ?

No, merely concerned to query the odd and strangely affecting ramblings of a dearly beloved old friend afflicted with porridge, pasta, and an Alzheimer's sense of humour exacerbated by fluctuating blood sugar.....

So glad you appear to be back in remission, even if just for a short while.
