I bought a Twistlock landing net handle S/H from a friend a few months back and really like it. Great combination of lightness and rigidity. However, when netting a small barbel the other day, the end cracked by the rivet and thread and I almost lost the net head, complete with barbel. I was not lifting the net at the time but was passing the handle back through my hands as per usual.

I wrote to Drennan describing the circumstance of the breakage and in hope of purchasing a new end section. They replied saying they'd send out a new section free of charge and that it'd be the re-designed one with additional reinforcement around the rivet.

Top service in my view.

In the era of web blogs and internet forums, smart companies realise that bad service = bad news, and bad news travels fast.

I am not suggesting that is the only reason that companies give good service, but it does help the end users - us!!

I had my twist lock specialist handle refuse to lock, made a 2min phone call and received a new nylon bush days later - no charge.

Simply brilliant service which certainly makes me look at the Drennan products first when Im shopping for new gear.

I had the same problem with my specialist landing net, but self-repaired it; but thanks for the 'heads-up' about telephoning them.
The last time I had a problem with Drennan items which required contacting them was when they were in the Leopold street works!!
