Crucians

Going to a new small lake tomorrow that holds Crucians upto 2lb. Any pointers on baits or technique would be goodplease. I was going to float fish what do you lot of peeps think??. Cheers Pez.

float fish just on the bottom with a delicate setup,baits smallpellets maggot caster sweetcorn small cubes of meat.

I would usually start off fishing dead depth, but be prepared to fish off the bottom a little as well as on. Use a really sensitive float, dotted right down, and have a couple of size 10 droppers to show lift bites.

Its also worthwhile feeding a swim to your left or right with something a bit different, sayreally fine pellets, or punch andgroundbait in case your main line of attack doesn't pull them in.

assuming you havnt got a pole try a pole rig off the rod end ,dead depth with a no 10 shot 50mm from the hook dot the float down and hit any movement ...its a mini lift bite method

same as eddies but top and bottom float
