Sounds like you had a great time Graham and picked up a few tips too, good on Ian for donating the day out. I thought your casting was pretty good too when you nailed the far bank at 50 yards in the weir pool!

The weather looked fantastic too, what's gone wrong with it?

Get a wriggle on with that book mate /forum/smilies/wink_smiley.gif

What was that secret bait again?

It's amazing the ideas and inspiration you can get learning from someone who specialises in a different species.

Great article Graham

Good article Graham, you obviously had a great time with Ian.

Trouble is, having read about the "professionalism"of Ian's well thought out and planned day, I'm a bit worried about our forthcoming trip to Throop...................

.............................. I was going to "park" you at School Bridge, show you which was "upstream" and which was "downstream" and leave you to it!/forum/smilies/big_smile_smiley.gif

p.s. I've yet to have a barbel this season, but still working on it!

p.p.s. Plenty of eels tho!

Looking forward to next month.

Thanks All. It was a really enjoyable day with Ian.

Steve. One of my customers managed that same cast last week and managed a 13.10! Barb.

****y, Very True.

Neil, I'll fish that little cut in the bank just upstream of the School bridge (where they hide and run into the main river under the weeds.)

Saw some good fish just downstream as well where the little riverruns in/out? as well.

Take care all.

Graham

Wish you'd have told me that before Sunday Graham, there was no one in it, but it was ripping through so I gave it a miss! Can you let Richard know I'm on 2-10pm and can't answer my phone in work please.....ta.

Somehow I don't think Neil will be taking you to School Bridge,I wouldn't /forum/smilies/wink_smiley.gif/forum/smilies/dont_tell_anyone_smiley.gif
