Hi all

I have been trying to catch Chub for the last 2-3 weeks from my local River but have had no success.

Well I think i may of had Chublet's! which is great news and I'm confusing them with Dace.

Any help on identification would be fantastic.

Dace have a concave dorsal and anal fin (chub don't) , also their head and mouth are 'slighter; than chub.

Joking apart, I've had a couple of dace free lining a whole lobworm attached to a size 4 hook in the past.........not the way I would target them but it just shows you........

As a lad I was told to remember the phrase 'dented dace' with regard to their concave anal fins to tell them apart from chub.
