Hi Ryan,

I'm thinking of taking a couple of friends who dont fish to Boyd valley next weekend, never fished it before and wondered if it was suitable for beginners?

Any tips or best paces to fish?

Right, yes it is suitable for beginners, hordes of match size carp, that can be picked up without too much trouble and if they aren't feeding there are plenty of silvers to target, I work in the shop that sells the tickets, i would advise you to pre book/buy tickets if you want to go as it is limited to 12 a day and they sell out pretty quickly (always full as soon as it is sunny and a fair bit even when its raining). I will upload a image of a typical catch in a few seconds.

I work on a sunday, but all of the people who work in the shop will tell you what works and where. I will add some more details later, it has a website (albeit outdated) here http://www.boydvalleylake.co.uk and it has now gone up to ?6 a day per person per swim, or two can share for ?10 (?5 each)
