Fine audio-slideshow from the BBC about how aerial photgraphy and the staff of image interpreters at RAF Medmenham by the Thames in Buckinghamshire found the V1 and V2 flying bombs and shortened the war by years. Great photos, tremendous people.

There is a programme about the Mosquito (my favourite plane) on Sunday channel 4 8pm.

My old Dad flew Mosquitos - and Beaufort and Beaufighter torpedo-bombers, then Wellington (Bootes) and "Lancs" and a fair few more. Must dig out his old pilot's logs, squadron photos and the press clippings that his mother kept, one of them relating to a possible hit on a major German battleship in a bit of ocean somewhere - his hit.
