You couldn't make it up...

The first English beaver in 500-odd years surfaces in Devon. I know the river, having once known a girl who lived in a cottage on the bit of coast where it reaches the sea (very convenient for seals), just a good job for both it and the beaver that it doesn't hold barbel, as we'd never hear the end of it ... Save The Barb - Ban The Beaver, East Devon Beaver Hounds, CLA Game Fairies Against All Furry Things...
