A nicely put case by Mr Lloyd there. A pity they gave that ill informed RSPB rep the last word, but Matt linked back nicely to a re-show of a Cormorant eating a fish almost half its own length, so I think the angling case was reasonably well made.

Nice to see some action for my money. Well done AT! :)

Don't underestimate the RSPB, They have a huge membership base which nets them £millions of per annum. They have used this resource in the past to achieve their aims, and they not only have the ear of the BBC but have powerful allies in government as well. The angling trust will have to have the support of every angler, the EA, and politicians if they are to have a hope of beating them. They really are conservations mafia...Beware

Nature Natzis more like, just like that shower 'The National Trust'!

Perhaps the Beeb -or at least a significant member of its nature team- has been persuaded of the dangers to our aquatic environments from this out of balance avian predator?

HUGH MILES - WILDLIFE ADVENTURES

They certainly gave a fair hearing to the angling perspective on tonight's show anyway.

...from little acorns. :)
