Lift Method Float Rubber

I was fishing lift method at the weekend. I was using a short peakcock waggler with a short insert at the base.

I attached the waggler to the line using a short lenght of 2mm ESP silicone rig tubing.

I didn't pass the line through the float eye so that I could change it easily if I needed to.

However, I lost a couple of floats because the silicone ripped on the strike.

Any recommendation for brands of strong tube would be appreciated.

Can you still get hold of float rubbers?

Matt -don't you work for a sealant company intent on making,and ensuring, strong tubes?

Joshing apart it was very effective - must remember to give it a try soon

Knocked em senseless on the way down!

Frightening to think what one of these supersized swanshot would do to a small rudd foolishly passing underneath at the crucial time. I suppose we need to look our for bloodstains and brains on the shot?
