My first post so be kind.......

I'm taking my dear old dad down to aformentioned lakes and will be targeting Tench.

Which lakes should we fish? and some bait tips would be a real help. I'm thinking of laying down a bed of ground bait followed by frenzied hemp and some choped dendros.

I'm not really an experienced fisherman and have never pre-baited before, but i'm determined to catch a 4lb+ tench for the first time.

You want to go on Lucy lake good tench, not sure about baits as I have mainly fished for carp, however the chap that comes round for the day ticket money knows what you do and don't want and where to fish, if you pop on to their site www.grendonlakes.co.uk there is a contact no I am sure he would be cool if you wanted to call before hand to ask. or drop them a mail, his a nice chap.
