I woke up earlut on saturday to fish a local lake for tench/carp. When it got to 11:30 I only the roach had come out to play i figured it was time to head home. On my way back i decided to stop at a spot i've been prebaiting regularly to get my breathe back (it was REALLY hot!) so i placed my rods in for a moment & called the missus to make sureshe got a few beers from tesco. As soon as I got off the phone my baitrunner started clicking - the result - a 21lb 5oz canal common carp!

Pics will be uploaded soon /forum/smilies/smile_smiley.gif

Derbyshire: best beer, best cheese, best puddings.
Nice, it's always goodwhen you just get one of those feelings or make a decision to move swims or stop somewhere else after a dissapointing session. It always seems to result in good fish as well, like a reward for your patience.

It does feel good when all of your hard work & patience finally pays off. It certainly put a smile on my face anyway!

I decidedtobait the spot again then leave it to rest, i think i'll be back soon in the hope of another fish or two.
