Hello everyone, I'm 48 and just started fishing 
I'm interested in lure fishing and have been out a few times on the Leeds and Liverpool canal (live in Liverpool) with some success, a couple of pike and perch.
Couldn't believe that the canal is now run by an angling society and I need to pay for the privilege or join but if that's the way it is!!!
Lure fishing interests me because of the minimum tackle needed, the time and the mobility aspect (not being tied to one swim) and also the challenge, I am also interested in fly fishing, but one thing at a time.
Anyway happy to have found this forum, seems full of friendly knowledgeable people looking forward to participating.
