I believe that Bill Rushmer still holds the UK record from Tanyards fishery in Sussex - but why anyone would intentionally fish for them beggars belief............ ;)

Yep, Tanyards fishery in Sussex.
Am I right in saying that if they are caught, they are supposed to be destroyed?

There is (or used to be) a small commercial lake just outside of Fordingbridge that stocked masses of them quite a few years ago.

Not sure if they are still there, but maybe Mark Wintle would know.

Martin's Farm near Alderholt, Dorset did have them; it's the water TerryM is confusing Cranborne Fruit Farm with which doesn't have any.

Creekmoor Ponds, Poole did have them but a long time ago and doubt any in there now.

I was not aware that Martins Farm contained them - though I haven't been there for several years.

You are correct though, I was confusing Cranborne fruit Farm with Alderholt Mill, that does have them.
