Part of the enjoyment of fishing for me is finding out how to catch. I get pleasure from trying different rigs, baits, depths, hooks and so on.

It seems to me in our instant gratification world thatmany dontwant to learn they just want to catch.

How often do you see a post saying 'I am fishing so and so this weekend can someone tell me how to catch a twenty?'

Ime not saying I dont get info from forums but I pick and select ideas and try them when I think they might work or modify them for my own situation.

I think it is OK to glean info from others but to be shown the tackle, technique, bait etc. thatare allmost certain to work on a venue would leave me cold. In fact if I knew what worked I would fish differently just to see if...

Good to hear it Barry. Quite a lot of anglers that I come across suffer from not actually wanting to learn!

I can accept that some are quite happy to sit back and dream all day, but don't bemoan the lack of fish if you are not prepared to work for them.
