Just crumbed some stale bread!

Just crumbed my collection of stale bread ready for the weekend for silvers and bream.Now what shall I add to it to give it the edge, any ideas?:wh:wh

Interesting; I'd add hemp to deter bream. I guess it's all down to the quantity you put in.



I'd only add a piece of fresh bread on a hook.

Thanks I usually use compressed bread discs - two slices of bread with a filling inside, typically chilli powder. Then I place the sandwich in a bag and give it 20 seconds in the microwave, after which I place the bag on a hard surface and roll flat with a rolling pin, stick in the fridge and when on the bank I bread punch the sandwich can be used on the hook or as loose feed as the compression allows the discs to sink.:):)

When its mixed add a big handful of bankside mud.

Don't laugh you techie anglers...... if its on the bank its in the river, totally natural, works wonders AND gets it down fast :D

I wouldn't laugh about mud as I can recall fishing a schoolboy national on the Warwickshire Avon in the seventies and a local bait dealer suggested compost- didn't win but caught some nice chub!:):)
