Wychwood alarms

Got my first proper soaking using the little wychwood signature alarms yesterday. After arriving home spread everything out to dry. Just been to check if everything has survived and one speaker from one alarm has died, still got the led working fine just no sound!
Anyone else had problems with these?
£20 did sound (sic) to good to be true.

Just waiting for Korum to bring out a mini-brolly or micro-bivvy to protect alarms from the rain. All serious carpers will want one in Real Tree!

My lad had a set of those and he found the sound came back when the alarm had dried out!!

Apologies to Wychwood.

After further investigation ( youtube and some reviews) it turns out the damn things have a "silent" mode! Not sure how it's activated/deactivated. The instructions are a tad vague, and if you've thrown the box away.......well.
I just kept pressing in different combinations and hey presto.
Phew.
Tight lines all.
