Good news. 
My first holiday without my parents was spent at Pinchbeck when I was about fifteen. We fished the Glenn just outside the B&B and there were some lovely roach in there and cracking eels.
There was a tench pond about three miles away and at least three or four of the days we were there we walked there and back twice, returning for dinner and then going back to fish into the evening. Twelve miles with fishing tackle and groundbait just to catch a few small tench
