Hi as a coarse fisherman I'll be on holiday in Southwold for a week at the end of Sept/ early Oct and wondered if I took one of my 12' 2 1/2lb carp rods I could expect anything from the beach? Obviously not looking for miracles, just something to pull the string. I expect one of my carp reels loaded with 15lb would match the rod. There's the harbour as well to consider.

Any comments most welcome.

Cheers

cor, blast from the past.....

the "harbour" mouth does/did fish fairly well for bass, worth a try as they should still be around - peeler is probably the way to go.

If there's a chance of that I'll be on the beach 24/7. Any recipes for cooking Pompous Prats?
