Looking for a decent rod for trotting rivers. 13' or 14' what out there and no dragon carp rods or commercial style rods.

I've got a Fox Warrior XT 14ft Waggler rod and am delighted with it. The whole rod is lighter than the butt section on my old Shakespeare 13' Alpha Carbon Match. I think Fox have discontinued them but well worth a look if you see one anywhere.

Price seems reasonable, Jack. Have you used it for trotting, or is the action a bit heavy for general use? I'm not looking for a barbel tamer, rather something with a bit of delicacy that doesn't cost the earth or bump off the smaller stuff.

My Sectron is still available.

The original poster was going to have it, it was a done deal or so it seemed.
He asked my email and since then nothing, not even a reply to a pm

Very odd?

So if your interested I will pm you the full details.

If not, no worries, its not eating anything.

Thanks, Mick, but I'm specifically looking for a 14 footer.

Just bought a new 14ft mach 3 xt for less than £60, so far very impressed, stick float stiffnes and progressive tip, trying it out today so fingers crossed.
