Emma Pickering - yes the daughter of ex World Match Angling Champ Tom Pickering - has emulated her father by winning the World Ladies Individual title.

Now I returned from deepest France late last night! I, and you, now know this fact. again I got it off the Fips website. bet it makes the NFA's site by Wednesday!

Given the success of the juniors and the veterans I think England now hold the Individual world title for every level of the World Match Angling Campionships.

What do you mean - you hadn't noticed? Surely the premier association of angling clubs - which is doing some really excellent work in encouraging and developing the sport - has really promoted this!!

I bet we don't see it on the news.

And they keep telling us we never win any world championships.

But it no doubts does not count as its not fasionable in the hairy fairy liberal world of tv and media organisations.
