Was looking for Shimano Aernos reel and came across vealsfishingtackle.com that is doing it for £64 with post after discount, which is at least £10 cheaper than anywhere else.
Has anyone used them before? I'm very wary where I spend my money online and just wanna be sure before I part with my hard earned cash!

I've bought from them in the dim and distant past. I don't recall having any problems.

Having looked at their website, and ther Aernos in particular, I'd make sure on the price if I were you. It appears to depends on the page you view as to what price shows up. I suspect it's a VAT thing.

Veals are primarily known for sea fishing gear. I have used them many times without a problem.

Be a bit cautious until you iron out whether your vealsfishingtackle.com is the same company as veal.co.uk. Might be perfectly okay but just in case...

It is the same company I have been using them for fly and sea fishing tackle since the late 60s.

That's Veals.co.uk , I was confused at first!
The website I'm talking about is vealsfishingtackle.com, seemingly completely unrelated. Because the names are so similar it's made me wary in case they are a dodgy copycat website

Both just happen to be in Bristol, both established in 1846 and seem to have very similar prices.
I doubt that the two are totally unconnected.

I just read both 'About Us' pages on each site, very much doubt 1 company would have 2 websites with different prices.

Seems quite odd.

I found a £5 of £50 discount code which makes the reel £63.99 with a free spool of line and a Drennan reel case, plus free post.
Sounds too good to be true....

The Veals I have used is the .co.uk one. Can't you get the reel at another site for a comparable price?

Personally I would look (as previously stated) at the Exage Front Drag or the Daiwa Procaster.

Might be worth a look at WMAC, Chapmans, Fishtec or Fishing Megastore (Glasgow Angling) if you are unsure of the Veals site.

By reading the blurb the mail order business veals.co.uk was split from the parent company vealsfishingtackle.com

Just had a good look at their website and it looks like a proper tackle shop with online ordering. Give them a ring to check prices etc.
