I've been out a couple of times a week for last 2 months and have nothing to show for it! I'm spinning for pike and perch and found it much harder than it was at the end of the summer.
I fish Northampton river/canal which has good numbers of pike and perch but never gone so long without a fish.
Lately the river has been very murky, high and fast moving. Is this usual for the fishing to be so bad in these conditions?

My fishing this winter has been dreadful - never had so many blanks. I've had the odd big chub, but that's about it.

There is nowhere around here that I can really fish. the rivers are so much in flood that you can't get near them.

Also due to the water table being right up most of the stillwaters are closed as well. :(

The stretch of the River Derwent is virtually impossible to fish due to the pegs I used to fish are under water?

Hopefully it will hurry up and calm down
