Just a few words to introduce myself.
Having returned to angling after many years away I was initially seduced by the 'advances' in tackle from my childhood in the 1960s, but quickly became disillusioned with the carbon revolution.
I now fish purely with 'traditional' tackle, and have gathered together an ever-evolving small collection of cane rods (most of which I have restored), centre pin and 'period' fixed spool reels, and ash and cane landing nets.
Nothing gives me greater pleasure than to spend a few hours 'tiddler snatching,' though I do have a few personal targets to aim at ... like a new British Record Gudgeon, or a 2 1/2 pound roach.
As always for me, angling is about learning ... and I hope that I can contribute to the forum as well as learning from those already here.
