My spod was grabbed by a huge pike this afternoon..

I was spodding out some bait in advance of a carp sesion tomorrow, and on the third retrieve my spod was grabbed by a HUGE pike. It held on for about ten seconds and came right into the bank.

is this a common occurrence, and has anyone else had this happen?

In Aldershot. unfortunately my club doesn't allow pike fishing until november. I spoke to the ex chairman this afternon and apparently someone caught a 15 lber on a boilie from the same swim last week.
