stafford aston fields balancing pools?

Hi im new to the forum,

I am an amateur fisherman but had a walk down the old railway line andcame accross this amazing wildlife zone. Does anyone from the area know if it is stocked or is even allowed to fish?

Holt's Tackle in Stafford would be able to tell you but to the best of my knowledge, it's a no fishing zone. If you read Angler's Mail, email Tony Keeling, he'll give you a definitive answer.

Always used to be though I haven't been back to see family in a while.

How's the Staffs and Worcester fishing? Any idea?

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the answer I had a feeling it would be but it was worth a try :).
To be honest I couldn't tell you its been about 5 or 6 years since I hit the rivers or canals.

We usually went down carney pools, or the fisher y near wosely. Seem to catch more at carney but there was some nice fish pulled out at the later.

Im gunna hit the free stretch of river at the weekend to test my luck and ease me back into It.
