Hello i am after a small leger/feeder rod to use with a Shimano ST 2500 FA baitrunner reel, mainly margin work or small casts with a method feeder? reason for the baitrunner is it will be a second rod while im using my float rod.

I would need it to be around 9ft, or longer if it has three sections because i have made a small rod holdall (5ft) that's perfect fit for the boot of my car.
mainly fishing for bream/tench and small carp using 6lb mainline,

oh and budget of around £50/£60.
cheers.

I use a 10ft maver powerlite pellet waggler rod with my 2500 bait runners, 6 or 8lb mainline and either a 15g small method feeder, a 15g drennan cage feeder or a small lead and loose feed. I don't make any huge casts and I have had carp to 16.5lb on them. I think they may be above budget but I assume any 10ft pellet waggler rod will do the job. The rods are two piece and thus 5ft "folded".

You mention your car boot. If it is a matter of hiding it for security, have a look at the John Wilson travel avon quiver whilst there are still a few to be had new on ebay. Very versatile.

I've got one I bought specifically for taking camping when space is short but find myself using it a lot because as you say it is so versatile.

Nice fish Pix. I also have one for holidays. Such a sweet little thing, it can handle lumps as well as silvers. I thoroughly enjoy it.
