zig rig

Hi lads just trying to find out the best way to do a zig rig,I have tried myself but keep getting it wrong as i keep getting all tangled up an have yet to catch a carp this way.

I have looked in the rig section but nothing on the zig rig.

Use a simple running rig set up with a small lead say about 1.5 oz. Put the lead onto your main line followed by a Korda buffer bead. Tie a Korda size 8 swivel to your main line with a Palomar Knot.For your hook lenght use Drennan Double strect line in 8lbbs. Using aknotless knot tie a small size 12 drennan barbel hook to you hooklenght with a very short hair to a small 10mm bright pop up. Tie the hook lenght to the Korda size 8 swivel. Before you cast place a couple of peices of PVA foam to the rig to add to it bouyancy and help prevent tangling. Line the zig rig up behind you on the floor prior to casting and when ready luach into the lake. The rest is up to the carp.
